Dog Phobia and Desensitization
October 12-13, 2024, 10:00-19:00
A person’s phobia towards animals is a condition that can cause negative chain reactions (effects) either on an emotional level: intense worry, anxiety, stress, obsessions and panic attacks, or on a practical and daily life level: withdrawal from daily activities, self-harm etc.
Many times, people with PDD (pervasive developmental disorders) of all ages or people with some negative experiences (dog bite) are unable to manage situations where there is a dog or other animal present which makes their daily life difficult.
This seminar offers theoretical and practical knowledge in on cynophobia issues in collaboration with a therapy dog.
